Flight and Ground School Training
Tig Air Aviation has instrument instructors on staff that will fly to meet your schedule. Whether in your plane or in one of our instrument trainers, Tig Air instructors will endeavor to get you the maximum amount of actual instrument time. The training is realistic, thorough and challenging.
And to help develop those critical procedural and cockpit organizational skills, Tig Air has an PCATD simulator. This allows the student to get out of the "cockpit and study his or her track over the ground on the computer monitor. Learn how to enter holding patterns, how to make quick and accurate wind corrections, develop your instrument scan and improve your voice reports all for a fraction of the cost of flying a real airplane.
Tig Air Aviation has a flight test examiner on staff, so there's no waiting for appointments.
The Cost of the Instrument Rating
- The "A to Z" Plan: 40 hours - 10 days to complete - with written passed - $5800.00
- The "Finish Up" Plan: 10 hours - 3 days to complete - with written passed - $1500.00
This price will be reduced by using the simulator and/or your airplane. Arrange to have the chief flight instructor audit your log book so you can select the plan best for you.
Call Tig Air Aviation for an appointment to audit your log book. From there, based on your flight time needs, a training program that is right for you will be selected. Discuss the possibilities of doing the training in your airplane. Even if it is not instrument certified, it is likely that a good part of the training can be accomplished in it.
